4 Days Fes - Desert - Marrakech

4 Days Trip from Fes to Marrakech via Sahara Desert
Classic Desert Tour
 
Day 1: Fes - Ifran - Medilt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud 
 
We will pick you up from your riad / hotel then drive south to Ifrane and Azrou through the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Travelling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. After lunch we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud where we will spend the night in the Xaluca Erfoud.
 
Day 2: Erfoud - Derkaoua - Merzouga
 
After having breakfast in the hotel, we will set up for a new day, We will change our car to get in a 4x4  that is great for some adventure in the next step. Heading towards the Erg Chebbi dunes, we will have the chance to visit some nomads families on the way and why not have some tea with them. The desert views are on one hand completely drastic but on the one are amazing. Along the way we will cross dried rivers and flat hamadas until we get to Merzouga on the foot of Erg Chebbi fantastic dunes, 20 km long and 5 to 8 km wide it is also reputed as the highest sand dunes in North Africa. It is a unique and diverse environment.  Getting there, we will meet our camels to take us towards our upgraded Berber camp. On the way we will enjoy the amazing sand dunes and the striking beauty of the sunset. Our camp has well equipped tents with bathrooms facilities. After dinner we gather round the fire and enjoy the desert night perhaps with traditional Berber drums.
 
Day 3: Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
 
Before sunrise,the camp staff will wake you up to ascend the dunes and find the sun emerge above the horizon. after having enough time enjoying the sunrise view, we will descend from the Dunes to get ready for our breakfast. After that we can either take the camels back to the same place we picked up or just continue our way with our luxury cars. we’ll leave for Tinghir and the Todra Gorges and finally arrive in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.
 
Day 4: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Marrakesh
 
After breakfast we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley, the way of the thousand Kasbahs, provides numerous photo opportunities. We’ll visit the Roses valley and Skoura village, then continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi nTichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 m, over the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop to enjoy the impressive views and visit the Argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakesh late afternoon.
 
 
 
Authentic Desert Tour

Day 2: Merzouga -Touas- Ramlia village

After that we can either take the camels back to the same place we picked you up or just continue our way with our car to leave for Ramlia village, a remote village in the middle of the desert. A place where you will meet the local people and experience the real rural Morocco. Our night will be spent in a budget traditional guest house.
 
Day 3: Ramlia village - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
 
After breakfast in Aghbalou Ramlia guest house, we will drive off-road  in the beautiful black desert crossing the Berber oasis of palm trees, mud houses till we get to Alnif town . a place known with fossil industry where we will have a stop for a drink than continue our journey via the high atlas mountains to see the stunning gorges of Todgha where springs of water runs between the rocks and enjoy the contrast of nature beauty . After the visit of the gorges the way continue with its  magic mountains to  Dades valley where we will end our day spending the night in a nice hotel located on the top of the mountain to enjoy  an overview to the valley and the mountains.
 
Day 4: Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas mountain - Marrakech 
 
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Then the roses valley and Skoura village. Continue to Ouarzazat, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO matrimonial historical site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi ‘n’ tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains,. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
